Founded:
The libraries of Harvard Divinity School (1636) and Andover Theological Seminary (1807) were merged in 1911 to form the Andover-Harvard Theological Library.

Collections:
Andover-Harvard Theological Library is affiliated with the Harvard Divinity School and houses its books and periodicals. The bulk of Andover-Harvard's holdings are recent texts. In addition, the library holds a collection of 30,000 rare books and tracts dating from the 15th century to the present, many photographs, and ephemera associated with the Unitarian Universalist church. Andover-Harvard also holds a collection of portraits.
