Villa I Tatti houses the Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies. Its principal collections are the Biblioteca Berenson, which holds 160,000 volumes and periodicals relating to the Italian Renaissance, and the Fototeca, which houses 300,000 19th- and early 20th-century photographs of Renaissance artworks, many of which have been lost or destroyed. The collection is currently inaccessible due to renovations.
